Three Valencia fans have been sentenced to eight months in prison after pleading guilty to racially insulting Real Madrid striker Vinícius Júnior.
This marks the first conviction for racism-related incidents in professional football in Spain.
The fans will also be banned from entering football stadiums for two years and will bear the costs of the legal proceedings.
They were arrested following a Spanish league match between Real Madrid and Valencia at the Mestalla stadium in May 2023, which was briefly halted due to the racist insults directed at Vinícius.
Valencia had already banned these supporters from Mestalla.
