Fenerbahçe, the Turkish club, recently appointed José Mourinho as their head coach, and now the Portuguese manager wants to bring in a player he previously coached at Manchester United. José Mourinho’s tenure at Manchester United is not widely regarded as a success, despite being one of the most successful managers at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson. Mourinho finished second in the Premier League in the 2017/18 season and won the Europa League the previous season.
Now, the charismatic Portuguese has taken on the role of head coach at Fenerbahçe and is attempting to bring in an old acquaintance from his time with the Red Devils.
Swedish international Victor Lindelöf has played only 19 Premier League matches this season and does not appear to fit into Erik ten Hag’s ideal scheme. Additionally, the center-back’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, so if Manchester United wants to make some money from his transfer, now would be the time.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg from Sky Germany, Fenerbahçe is very interested in Victor Lindelöf.
