The 34-year-old player had been without a club for a season after leaving Leicester. He is a notable figure in Chelsea’s 2012 Champions League victory.

The confirmation came this Tuesday in a conversation with Sky. The English international had been without a club for the past year after his contract with Leicester expired.

The left-back can look back on a great career, which arguably reached its pinnacle in May 2012 when he started in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph in Munich. Besides the Blues, Bertrand represented Southampton, Norwich, Reading, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Leicester, Bournemouth, and Oldham.

He was capped 19 times for England and participated in Euro 2016. He also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games.
