Manchester United are interested in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte. The Red Devils are looking for a defensive midfielder to compete with Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat.
With Casemiro likely to leave this summer, the club are looking for a player with specific characteristics, and former Sporting player Manuel Ugarte is at the top of their list.
According to Sky Sports and French sources, United have already rejected an initial offer for the Uruguay international. However, PSG are open to negotiations and willing to sell for a slightly higher price.
Ugarte, who is currently taking part in the Copa America with Uruguay, made 37 appearances in all competitions last season.
