Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will make his PFL debut on October 19 against 2023 PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira. This bout will headline a PFL pay-per-view super fight card, although the location is yet to be disclosed.
Ngannou, who left the UFC after defending his title against Ciryl Gane in January 2022, signed with PFL in May 2023 and is also a chairman and equity owner in PFL Africa. He has been focused on boxing recently, with notable fights against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, before returning to MMA.
Ferreira, who has fought eight times since Ngannou’s last MMA bout, including a quick win over Ryan Bader, is preparing intensively for this fight.
The October event will also feature Cris “Cyborg” Justino vs. Larissa Pacheco.
