Thierry Henry steps down as France under-21 coach after Olympic silver medal

Thierry Henry has stepped down as the coach of France’s Under-21 team after leading the squad to a silver medal at the Paris Olympics earlier this month.

The 47-year-old, who was under contract until next summer, chose to resign after just one year in the position.

Henry regards winning the Olympic silver medal for his country as one of the proudest moments of his career.

He expressed deep gratitude to the federation, the players, the staff, and the supporters who made the experience possible.

Before his role with France’s Under-21 team, Henry served as an assistant coach for Belgium and held managerial positions at Monaco and MLS’s Montreal Impact.
