Victoriano Melero, who has been PSG’s interim CEO since Jean-Claude Blanc’s departure in early 2023, has been officially appointed to the post, the club announced on Tuesday.
Chosen by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Melero’s mission is to continue the club’s progression towards the summit of the world’s sporting franchises. As CEO, he will lead efforts in several key areas: infrastructure development, innovation, revenue diversification, strengthening strategic partnerships, improving relationships with key stakeholders and reinforcing the international presence of the PSG brand, the club said in a press release.
Melero was previously deputy director general of the French Football Federation and secretary general of PSG when he arrived in 2017. He acted as interim CEO after the departure of Jean-Claude Blanc in February 2023. Blanc, now CEO of Ineos Sport, manages clubs such as Manchester United and Nice.
‘Victoriano has been a key figure in our success over the last seven years and will continue to drive commercial strength, performance and innovation within our organisation,’ said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
