Swedish broadcaster SVT reported that Mbappé is “reasonably suspected” of the crime, though prosecutors confirmed only the existence of an investigation without naming the suspect. Mbappé strongly denied the allegations, labeling them as “fake news.” His representatives called the reports “false and irresponsible.”
On social media, Mbappé appeared to link the Swedish allegations to an ongoing legal dispute with Paris Saint Germain regarding unpaid wages. His lawyer expressed confusion over the reports, emphasizing that a complaint does not equate to truth and questioning whether the accusation was even related to Mbappé.
