Edoardo Bove: recovery and visit to Fiorentina after hospitalization

Italian midfielder Edoardo Bove, on loan from Roma to Fiorentina, was hospitalized Dec. 1 after collapsing in the 17th minute of the Fiorentina-Inter match, which was suspended due to the seriousness of the situation. On Tuesday, Bove underwent surgery to implant a removable subcutaneous defibrillator. This device, while essential for his health, creates uncertainty about the continuity of his career, as its use is prohibited in the Italian league.

On Friday Bove was discharged from Careggi Hospital, where he had been admitted after the accident. According to Italian press sources, the player plans to visit coach Raffaele Palladino, managers and teammates at Viola Park on Saturday to thank them for the support he has received in recent days.

Bove’s situation continues to be closely monitored as his return to the field depends on medical and sporting arrangements.
