The 2025 edition of the Tour of Spain promises to be one of the toughest in history. With 21 stages, 3,138 kilometers, two time trials and numerous climbs, the competition was presented in Madrid on December 19.
The race starts in Turin on August 23. This is the first time that the Vuelta starts in Italy. For four days, the cyclists will ride through the transalpine country before crossing into France, passing through the town of Voiron and finally entering Spain.
The fifth day, August 27, marks the start of the competition on Spanish soil, with a team time trial in Figueras, followed by the demanding Pyrenees climbs in Andorra.
After the first rest day on September 1, the athletes will face seven consecutive days of tough stages. Climbs of the Basque Country, Cantabria and Asturias passes will test the limits of the cyclists, culminating in the iconic and difficult Angliru on stage 13. This stage is considered one of the showpiece stages of the competition, where the favorites will have to demonstrate their strength and endurance after several stages in medium and high mountains.
With breathtaking scenery and extreme challenges, the Vuelta 2025 promises to be a memorable spectacle for fans and athletes alike.
