Paris Saint-Germain showed they are ‘a great team’ by beating Manchester City 4-2 on Wednesday night’s Champions League clash at the Parc des Princes, French club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi told Canal+.

‘We are happy and proud of this great match and the way we won,’ Al-Khelaïfi said with a smile, referring to “an even more special match, given our situation with seven points (before the match) and the fact that we were 2-0 down against a great team”.
‘Nobody here thought we could turn this 0-2 around, I know that, but I’ve always had confidence in my team’, Al-Khelaïfi told reporters. ‘I know my players very well: they are ready for big games. We have an exceptional team with personality, young but with character, and the best coach in the world.’
Al-Khelaïfi stressed the importance of remaining focused on the next objectives:
‘Today we have to celebrate, but we also have to stay focused for the last game. We haven’t qualified yet, we know that, and the game against Stuttgart (on January 29) will be another final for us.’
‘Everything worked perfectly for us tonight, and that’s positive for our project. I would also like to thank the fans for the incredible atmosphere in the stadium’, concluded Al-Khelaïfi.
