Danilo, Manchester United target, says he wants to stay at Juventus

As January approaches, the soccer market is in turmoil, and the future of Juventus’ Brazilian full-back Danilo is one of the most talked-about topics. Despite the speculation, the player, who has played for FC Porto, Real Madrid and Manchester City, reiterates his desire to stay in Turin.

Danilo, Juventus’ current captain, is constantly criticized by fans for his performances on the pitch. This season, he has lost space in the starting XI under Thiago Motta. However, the defender remains loyal to the team. “I never said I wanted to leave. There’s been speculation, but I’ve always focused on Juventus. I have a contract until June and I want to respect it. Being captain is a responsibility and a source of pride”, said the player after the 2-0-0 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League.

Although Danilo has said he wants to keep his contract, which expires in June 2025, the Italian club could consider selling him in January to generate revenue. Possible destinations are Napoli and Manchester United, the latter now managed by Ruben Amorim, who is looking to renew the squad.
