Lamine Yamal set two new Euro-2024 records during the semi-final against France at Munich’s Allianz Arena.
At the age of 16 years and 362 days, Yamal became the youngest player to play in a World Cup or European Championship semi-final, surpassing the record held by Pele, who played in a World Cup semi-final in 1958 at the age of 17 years and 244 days, also against France.
Yamal scored a sensational goal 20 minutes into the match, becoming the youngest player to score in a European championship.
