According to German legend Michael Ballack, Liverpool will win the Champions League this season.
The Reds impressed during the group stage, finishing at the top of the standings.
With the Round of 16 approaching, Michael Ballack, a former Chelsea midfielder, identifies the Anfield club as the main favorite to win the competition.
“Based on the performances so far, Real Madrid is not my favorite”, Ballack told the BILD newspaper.
“It’s Liverpool that is currently dominating the Champions League. I was positively surprised by how Arne Slot managed the transition after the end of Jürgen Klopp’s era”, added the former German international.
“It’s always twice as hard to follow great names like Klopp or someone like José Mourinho, who, at my former club Chelsea, achieved something unique”, Ballack noted.
