Nice sporting director Florian Maurice commented on the future of Paul Pogba, saying that the midfielder will attract the attention of several clubs as soon as he can return to the pitch in March. Maurice ruled out the possibility of Nice buying the player at the moment.
‘Honestly, I don’t think we have the possibility of bringing Paul Pogba to Nice today. There are many clubs who will analyse the situation, even after the period when he was out of the game. I think there will be a lot of competition to sign him’, Maurice said.
After terminating his contract with Juventus last month, Pogba is free to choose his next destination. The player will be able to return to play in March 2025, after his suspension for doping was reduced from four years to 18 months thanks to an appeal. Maurice stressed that Pogba will have several options on the market when deciding his future.
