Burnley will be temporarily managed by the current assistant coach Craig Bellamy (44 years old). The English club is still searching for a permanent replacement for Vincent Kompany, who departed for Bayern Munich at the end of the season. Bellamy has not managed any team so far, having spent the last two seasons as the Belgian’s assistant.

“Following Vincent Kompany’s departure, we are actively working on finding a head coach. In the meantime, we have entrusted the role to Craig Bellamy, who will be assisted by Mike Jackson,” Burnley stated on X.

“We have full confidence in them and believe that their extensive experience and deep knowledge of the club make them the perfect candidates to lead the team at such an important time,” they added.

The Turf Moor team participated in the Premier League in the 2023/24 season but, like Luton Town and Sheffield United, who were promoted the previous season, returned to the Championship.
