Cédric Soares, the 32-year-old Portuguese international right-back, confirmed his departure from Arsenal at the end of his contract through a post on social media this Monday. The defender bid farewell to Arsenal after making 64 appearances, scoring two goals, and providing five assists. With this departure, Cédric Soares becomes a free agent and can sign with any club during the summer transfer window.
“What a team and what a club. When I say team, I mean exactly that, the quality of each player, the professionalism they show, and the fantastic human beings they are, so thank you,” began the 32-year-old defender.
“When I say club, I mean all the departments, all the staff who constantly dedicate countless hours on and off the field to make it possible to compete at the highest level,” continued Cédric Soares.
“When I say club, I also refer to its heart, and by that, I mean you, the fans, who made this journey so surreal and unforgettable. So, to all the fans, thank you! You will always have a special place in my heart!” concluded the Portuguese international.
