The Spanish international midfielder will leave the Reds on a free transfer, the English club confirmed this Friday via social media. After four seasons, Thiago Alcântara’s time at Anfield Road is coming to an end.
The 33-year-old Spanish international’s contract expires at the end of June, and he will leave on a free transfer, Liverpool confirmed.
Signed in the 2019/20 season from Bayern Munich, the Spaniard played a total of 98 matches for the Reds, scoring three goals.
This season, physical issues have kept the Spaniard out of contention for Jürgen Klopp. Thiago Alcântara only made one appearance for Liverpool this season, on February 4th against Arsenal, coming on as a substitute in the 85th minute.
