Pep Guardiola has been named the Premier League Manager of the Season after leading Manchester City to an unprecedented fourth consecutive title. The Spanish manager had previously won the award four times since joining the club in 2016. With six league titles, he is now the second most successful manager in English football history. “This award reflects the hard work and excellence of everyone at the club across all departments,” Guardiola said.
“I am very proud to be the manager of this group of players and to work every day alongside the brilliant coaches and technical staff. Winning four consecutive titles is one of the proudest moments of my career. It is the toughest league in the world, and our rivals played incredible football.”
Guardiola faced competition from Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Unai Emery (Aston Villa), Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth), and Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool).
