Roma dreams of Carlo Ancelotti’s return: mere suggestion or reality?

The news comes from Spain and made its way through the media on Tuesday: Roma is reportedly interested in bringing Carlo Ancelotti back to the capital.

The current Real Madrid coach, under contract until June 2026, recently commented on the possibility of returning to the Giallorossi club:

“I have a great relationship with Roma, I have fond memories, but there is a big difference between saying and doing. Right now, I am happy here, and I’m not thinking about my future. I still have two years on my contract, but contracts can be broken or extended.”

Ancelotti to Roma: a concrete possibility? Spanish newspaper AS revealed that Roma is preparing a significant offer to convince Ancelotti to replace Claudio Ranieri at the end of the 2024/2025 season.

The club’s American owners see the former Giallorossi midfielder as the ideal figure to revive the team’s ambitions after a series of up-and-down seasons. To do so, they would be ready to offer him a high-level salary.

However, the Italian coach, who has won the Champions League four times, has never wanted to reveal his future plans:

“I want to be clear: I will never say when I will leave. I know very well that day will come, but I don’t know when. It doesn’t depend on me.”

Although his future at Real Madrid remains uncertain, Roma’s dream of bringing Ancelotti back remains a fascinating possibility for the fans.
