Spain and Germany are set for their Euro 2024 Quarter-Finals clash in Stuttgart on Friday. Both teams have won the European Championship three times, but Spain’s recent success (2008, 2012) contrasts with Germany’s last victory in 1996.
Germany’s Leroy Sané looks forward to facing Spain’s Nico Williams (21) and Lamine Yamal (16), who have impressed in the tournament. “They are strong players and great dribblers for their age. It’s fun to watch them play,” Sané said.
Spain, the only team to reach the knockout stages with three wins and no goals conceded, defeated Georgia 4-1 to reach the final eight, with Williams and Yamal scoring. Spanish striker Mikel Oyarzábal praised them: “They’re young, fearless, and making a difference.”
Oyarzabal warned not to underestimate Germany’s growing talent. The match kicks off at 18:00 CEST on July 5.
