Stephen Curry, a key figure in Team USA’s victory over France in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games final, is set to extend his contract with the Golden State Warriors for an additional year. This extension will keep the Akron native with the Bay Area team until 2027, with the deal valued at nearly $63 million.
Curry, who was instrumental in securing the Olympic gold, is now committed to the Warriors until 2027, according to ESPN. The 36-year-old point guard had previously signed a contract in 2021 that would keep him with the team through 2026, worth $215.4 million.
With this new extension, the Olympic champion will earn an additional $62.6 million. Curry, who has played his entire career with the Warriors since being drafted in 2009, has won four NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022) and holds the NBA record for most three-pointers made, with 3,747 successful attempts from beyond the arc.
